Have you ever realized

People are rarely satisfied?

Perhaps it’s human nature

Maybe we like to complain

But whatever it is

We’re rarely satisfied.

In the summer we say

“It’s much too hot. When’s winter?”

In the winter we complain

“So cold, can’t wait for summer.”

Whatever the weather

We’re rarely satisfied.

When it rains

We want it to stop

And when it’s dry

We complain about the drought.

We are rarely satisfied

Must just be our way

To be happy,

Would it rain and be dry

At the same time?

Would it be like Florida

And snow fall

All the same day?

We are rarely satisfied

Because we want the impossible.
